Here are the top quotes from his speech:

On Poverty & Development:
"If one has to eradicate poverty from the country, it is essential to develop big states like UP, Bihar, Maharashtra. When poverty is eliminated from a state like Uttar Pradesh, along with other big states, the impact will be huge. With development, employment would follow, children would be imparted quality education & the people would get a better lifestyle. Development brings affordable homes, homes with electricity and water...it ensures good health and education facilities. More than 1,000 villages in Moradabad didn't even have access to electricity. They were forced to living in the 18th century."

On Accountability:

"We have devoted our focus towards accountability. Announcements have been made so many times by so many governments.
You, the people are my high command. But this govt believes in transparent public spending. Many governments came to power and made announcements. But today, look how Madhya Pradesh has progressed.  Madhya Pradesh was earlier considered a 'Beemaaru' state. In ten years Madhya Pradesh has been transformed & is known for development & agriculture."

On fighting corruption:

"Corruption should be eradicated or should be allowed to prevail, will it go on its own? Is fighting corruption a crime? Why are some people calling me a wrong doer for fighting corruption. Shouldn't I fight corruption? I am surprised that in my own country a few people are accusing me. Is it my fault that ones looting country are being made accountable? I have no vested interest. If voted out of power, I will pack my bags & leave."

Salutes citizens:

"I said things will ease in 50 days. There'll be hardships for now but things are already improving. I salute citizens of the country. For 70 years people queued up for essential items. This queue (outside banks) is the last queue to end all the queues."

On poor being used for their JanDhan accounts:

"The people who are dishonest can't go to banks now so they are lining outside homes of poor and trying to mislead them. Those who are honest, are queuing up in front of banks. Today, the hoarders are queuing up in front of the houses of the poor. Do not withdraw money deposited by black marketeers in Jandhan accounts. Finding ways to put behind bars those stashing black money into jan dhan accounts.”

Calls himself a fakir:

“I am fighting for you against corruption. Black money hoarders cannot harm me. I am fakir, no body can do anything to me.”

PM Modi takes a dig at Congress:

“Some people visit the poor and get praised. They do it for their own benefit. I am being called a criminal for fighting against corruption. I am fighting against corruption tell me if I am wrong, but few people in my country are questioning me.”

On making blackmoney hoarders accountable:

"I will fix those who used to chant "money, money" earlier. Now they are chating 'Modi, Modi, Modi'."
